From mbmedic at techie.com Sun Feb 20 16:30:17 2011 From: mbmedic at techie.com (mbmedic at techie.com) Date: Sun, 20 Feb 2011 16:30:17 -0500 Subject: [AA-Members] Match report Feb 2011 Message-ID: <8CD9F5C809B2735-2458-15E39@web-mmc-m04.sysops.aol.com> We were blessed with a great day for shooting in Atlanta. The skies were clear and bright, temps in the 70s and very little wind to dealwith. The course had its usual challenges but that is what keeps us coming out. There were 13 lanes with 1 each of kneeling and off hand for a total possiblescore of 56. A new shooter (Wyatt) joined us for the match and we hope hecomes back in the future. We enjoyed his company. If his uncle Doug wouldpossibly let him use the Protarget for the next match it might help his scorerise considerably, what do you say uncle Douggie? Greg and his sons Ethan and Logan provided some extraentertainment at the site in range. They came to the match with an array ofairsoft weapons, from AK47s to Remington 700mag to M4s, and we all had funtrying them out at bell targets and a few shots at each other just to see whatit felt like (using appropriate safety gear of course). Those airsoft guns havecome a long way in the last few years and are really fun and accurate. Thanksguys for bringing them out and adding to the fun of the day. We had friends from Tennessee and South Carolina come downto take part in the fun. This game is a social one as much as it is acompetitive shooting event so having a bunch of good friends to shoot withmakes for an enjoyable day. The scores stayed tight throughout the match. Logan shot theairsoft gun during the match for the fun of it and did surprisingly well athitting the face plates. Wyatt has been shooting his uncle Doug?s FWB 124 inthe back yard for some time and decided to give FT a try, he did a great job athis first time out on a hard course. Tommy was a man on a mission and camedetermined to win; he even came in a new ride to do it in style! He picked up anew Altima for his wife on Friday and took it for a test drive to the match, bet it was a good ride home after the win.
